IVP was featured at the National Association of Women Judges 40th Annual Convention in San Antonio, Texas. A panel presentation entitled Judges and Justices Under Attack: How the Informed Voters Project Can Help included NAWJ Judicial Independence Committee Co-Chairs Justice Barbara Pariente (FL) and Justice Robin Hudson (NC), as well as IVP National Education Chair Annette Boyd Pitts. The panel discussed the vulnerabilities of the judicial branch considering present-day challenges, and the resources available to assist with education and outreach efforts. The presentation was met with great success, cultivating interest in the Informed Voters, Fair Judges Project with judges from throughout the United States. In keeping with its educational mission, IVP works to make all presentations engaging and interactive, including the audience in a rich discussion about the topics presented. In addition to the panel presentation, IVP featured a beautiful and informative display throughout the Convention. The display affords both IVP leadership and volunteers with the opportunity to engage with convention attendees, providing information, resources, and an opportunity to converse about the project. IVP is pleased to attend various conventions, conferences, and events to inform the public about the important mission of the National Association of Women Judges Informed Voters, Fair Judges project.
